The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render services to your community.

SASSA might be rendering services including new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency reported it is alarmed about the large variety of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the higher quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office committed to service the area daily. The company place made for intervention activities a substantial influx of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it tough to the office to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more sources to enable the servicing of all status sassa prospects and enhance access to Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
